Doyal Thomas Gudgel Sr, (dad) KE7PLR passed away December 30, 2016 in Tacoma, WA. Dad only fairly recently got his ham license (2007) but taught me SO much about everything, including radio, electronics and even Morse Code in my childhood days of the 1950s and 1960s when I was a novice. He could have easily had his license way back then having served in WW2 as a radio man. Dad had TV shops and taught guitar and was a TV news reporter and film photographer for many years. So very talented, he could out-tech any of the techs at my work even in his 90s ! I miss you dad. See you when I climb the tower that one last time.
