    Marlon Brando passed away today at 80 he was licensed here in the US and in france, under his real name Marty Brandeaux, he talked about being a ham to Larry King a few times on CNN, he loved the annonimity of it, he could just be a regular guy on the radio.

    WB6CMI also known as Dl3GY, or Martin went silent in 1995. He came to the states after WW2 where he worked at Karr Electronics in Palo Alto California. I met Martin on 10 mtrs ssb, and after a short Qso we found out that he was from my home town in Germany and was good friends with my grandparents. Goes to show you what a small world it really is. Martin left me his TS940s, with the stipulation that the CW button stays active. Martin you are missed and I still listen on CW for WB6CMI.
