    I was the "lucky" high bidder on a Kenwood TS 700-A UHF Transceiver from this individual on e-bay. Item # 1331673869. When the item arrived, it was obviously Dead on Arrival, prior to my plugging it up.

    While he did mention in his ad that the item had not been tested, he did state that it "looks to be in good shape". There was corrosion on the heat sinks and rust on the antenna connector. There were no plate inspection screws, and upon opening the inspection place, there was filth, possibly from smoke. He claims to have paid $275 for it.

    Beware of dealing with him as I feel he fails to "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothhing but the truth". Don't get burned like i did.

    Thank goodness most hams in this small fraternity are for the most part honest individuals. It's sad to have the few in our fraternity who aren't.
