K5SRL, Stan Liljekvist, sk

Stan signed off on November 28. Originally licensed in April 1998 as KB5BJQ, Stan obtained his current call in February 2001. Stan was an Eagle Scout, a long-time member of the Crystal Lake Il. Jaycees, the Plano Civic Chorus, many Collin County Live performances, and the Concordia Lutheran Church. As a member of the Plano Amateur Radio Klub, Stan was a key supporter of the Plano Balloon Festival, Boy Scout Jamboree on the Air, and many, many other public service events. He participated in SKYWARN nets and was an ARES liason to the Lucas Fire Department. Stan was a mentor and devoted friend of many hams and will be fondly remembered.
