    My Condolences, I can not find an Obituary, will look again tomorrow.

    Well, we haven't either. He died at home, which in Texas means they have to have an autopsy, but his XYL said yesterday that he has already been cremated but she is still too distraught and not made funeral arrangements. All we know for sure is she called 911, then the Medical Examiner came over & picked up the body, so we think she's just confused. There is family driving down to his QTH this weekend. Meanwhile I keep checking area newspapers, funeral homes, etc. It will be confirmed soon enough. Just odd the way it's been handled so far. You would think the funeral director would realize her condition and take over at some point. We should know more this weekend. Thanks.

    Odis D. Cargile, Sr, K5OIL SK

    10-10 Number: 69366

    Odis Don (Boots) Cargile Sr., 77, of Groesbeck, Texas, but recently of Aransas Pass, passed away Oct. 21. He was born to Elmer Pete Cargile and Belma Olean Little on March 3, 1941.

    Boots was happily married to his wife Carol Sue Cargile on Oct. 25, 1985.

    Boots was a real character who loved to tell stories about his 50 years in the oilfield. He also loved being a radio HAM operator and talking to his radio buddies all over the country, and to a few very special radio buddies. In his spare time, he loved gardening and sharing with friends.

    Boots had a special relationship with God (Jehovah) and had notebooks filled with handwritten scriptures thoughts and prayer, researched in his private times sitting back in his radio room, and with his Bible Study conductor Larry and Kyla whom he had a special bond, among others.

    Boots loved his family and all his friends and new puppy Rascal.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Blake and Pete; one son Bubba; a niece Cheryl Lynn; granddaughter, Jessica; and a stepson, John Dale Wiley.

    Boots is survived by his wife Carol Cargile; and by Pamela Voyles, (Mike), Frank Wiley (Connie and Wolfie); Natasha; and grandchildren, Taylor, Rayden, Tara Saum; stepdaughter Shauna Step; ormer spouse Linda and mother to two sons Odis Don Jr.and Brett Cargile; cousin Wanda June; nieces and nephews, sister n law June and daughter Susan; nephew Greg; grandchildren; greatgrandchildren, and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

    A memorial for cremation was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Aransas Pass.

    The family extends its sincere special thanks to family and friends. Odis Don Cargile, Sr. will be missed by his his family, friends, and more.
