I first met K5ALU/"Red" @ the Eureka Springs, Ark. Hamfest in 1962. - We both lived in the Ozark Mtns. of N.W. Arkansas. & chatted every afternoon after school on 75m. Roger (Red) later moved to Springfield, Mo. & started his own, very successful business. -I joined the Navy (1964) & went my own way, but, somehow (ham radio) we have stayed in touch for all of these years. 'Red' & his wife Linda loved to travel & over the years operated from all 50 states & all of Canada, portable & mobile from a state-of-the-art 5th wheel R/V. Roger was a VERY active member of the "FOC" & perhaps one of, if not the BEST, CW operators I've encountered in my 60 years of operating 100% CW. R.I.P. buddy, I'll be along soon. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/swtimes/name/roger-cranforobituary?pid=199875333 77 (Long Live CW) & 73 (161) "Red"... Steve / W5BIB
