The 2026 Chasing Cornwallis Challenge Series continues with back to back Events #2 and #3 of our annual six Special Events Commemorating the deterministic Southern Battles of America's Fight for Independence.

If you missed last month's K4C - Battle of Cowpens and wish to qualify for the year-end Chasing Cornwallis Challenge Certificate of Achievement, no worries, since 5 of 6 worked events qualifies you for the award.

Our collective events have a singular mission: to transform the existing ember of Patriotism shared by all Americans to include all 195 sovereign nations of the world made possible by America's War for Independence, and turn those embers into a flame of the American Spirit.

This mission will be fully commemorated in this year's "Big One" - K4A America250 coming up in July - a splendid 10-day on-air celebration of the 250th Semiquincentennial celebration of the Declaration of Independence draft, not signing as most of us were taught.

The document was not signed fully on July 4th, 1776, nor the next day, week, or anytime in July of that year. In fact, on July 4th the Colony of New York abstained from affirming the document and for good reason, their Colony was chocked full of Redcoats!

Still on the hunt for additional K4A Volunteers for the July event. Interested? Send an email to my address below to schedule a Guided Tour of the website's Volunteer Dashboard (hidden page) that makes Volunteering easy and fun!

On the note of Volunteers, a hearty Hip Hip HUZZA!!! to all of our Volunteers and Participants where last month's K4C Battle of Cowpens event set every measurable record to include 266% growth year over year.

Both the QRZ K4B page and our website invite your visit - and for those new to our events, we list all Activations in real-time on our homepage: https://www.history.radio/

For Participants seeking a Commemorative QSL Card, click on the QSL Cards tab at the top of the homepage for instructions.

Since our inception in 2015, our promise has been and remains "Anyone Who Wants a Card, Gets a Card" with funding of our efforts 100% supported by optional Donations.

To that end, if you chose to Donate, thank you in advance where you can take advantage of the provisioned website QSL Card ordering feature.

The traditional method of mailing for your card is offered, with or without Donation, but does require a self-addressed-stamped return envelope.

And a shout-out to QRZ Staff for all you in support of our mission to "Keep the Stories Alive."

We look forward to YOUR Check-in with the upcoming K4B and K4G Special Events.

    HUZZA!!!

Hello from Brooke, KB1MKL, in Wolcott, Connecticut. I will be serving as a K4B Volunteer for this event along with Steve Chapman, KB1RLF. We’re planning to operate SSB voice on most of the bands to give every license class the opportunity to make a contact. We’ll be active throughout the event; we’re going to try to log some overnight hours, too. We’ll be on 2m/440cm and 6m-80m, using an Icom IC-7300 and Yaesu FT-991-A. Antennas are a Cushcraft 30’ vertical, Mosley Jr. (beaming as many directions as we can), various 2m/440cm antennas, and maybe a dipole or two. Looking forward to talking some history and seeing your callsign in the K4B log! Visit www.history.radio to find operators on the air, learn more about the battle, and view the entire schedule of events for 2026. HUZZA!
