I am not a member of either club mentioned in the original post, I guess I will sit this one out :D

SST is not a clubby thing. It is an operating event.

The gang who got it rolling are CWOps members, but do not let that spook anyone. The event is open to all to give a taste of contesting at an approachable pace.

SST is also the perfect training ground for anyone considering a POTA activation. If you can survive a SST run, you are ready.

I jump in when schedules line up, SST is a fun place for us little pistols to get a run going!

Yep .... I've worked a couple of the SSTs and worked many of the mini-ops.
    Those are downright brutal!

Non-members are very welcome .... unlike some other cw clubs.

My brain was still on DST so only got in 15 minutes operating QRP. Still scored 10 contacts.
Heard several OPs running well below 20 WPM, sone sounded like they were on SKs.

(Mods, we need a "dumba$$" emoji.)

I’m going to get N1MM setup over the weekend and hit the Sunday night SST for the first time. I’m actually really excited about it. Been listening to the practice files on YouTube to get the exchange down.

Just gotta decide if I’m gonna use the paddles or the SK.

heard on 40 and 80m for CQ SST calls.
There were not so much here in EU.
    Only 4 contacts, 2 England, 1 Dutch, 1 USA.
But more opportunities for "normal" QSOs.

Thank you my friend. I’ve been using the CWops practice files, but after a while you remember what they say. Haha

Yeah I think I’ll do the Sunday round with one key and next week with another. Right now I’m digging my straight key but I think the paddles would be good for speed.
