They did this to me many times. As soon as the condx get good to the west coast on the upper bands, they went to JA/AS only

Take a look at a world map. TI9 is basically due South of the Alabama/Mississippi state line, so it's still relatively easy for East Coast and Midwest. And, I only need TI9 on 15cw.

    Good luck.

Just got them - operating shipboard as TI9/3Z9DX/MM (maritime mobile) while they are enroute to Cocos. Easy QSO on 14.190. I especially enjoy working stations that are /MM - no awards, no DXCC, no bragging rights - just fun to work ops that are at sea. Big part of why I became a ham.

TI9 will be another cluster mess. Just want one contact. Of course being a weekend ham this will be a tall challenge. Retired folks have huge advantage when it comes to ham radio but then again it is what I will be doing when my time comes fifteen years from now. I will be reading QRZ in my google like brain implants and some forty year old will be complaining about not having time to work some entity and I will be like hahaha.

Last Call! Last chance guys - K1N is very loud on 40 CW right now 7.001 listening up - if you haven't worked them yet - best do it now - they are scheduled to go QRT for good at sunrise.

Not hearing them anywhere right now - no recent cluster spots either...

UPDATE 0342 UTC - seeing spots for them on 60 meters right now. No copy here.

It's 0720 UTC (I always want to say Zulu or GMT - old habit) and K1N is back and loud on 7001 - 5Kc up seems to be a sweet spot right now ... just listening / good CW op - QSO rate also still very good - no rest for the weary.

It's wrong to say that MM stations don't count for awards. If it's VHF/satellite, they count for VUCC. I just worked UT1FG/MM in IN01 via satellite a few minutes ago. MM stations also count for the CQ DX Field Award, though I doubt they are in a rare field right now.
