Issues are one thing, poor operating practices are another.

Just because one LID QRMs another LID doesn't make either better than the other. K1MAN, at least according to the evidence presented, deserves the forfeiture imposed by the FCC, however if he wishes, he also deserves his day in court.

We have no evidence, either for or to the contrary, that K1MAN bothered to ask if the frequency was in use.  It has been stated that there was a transmission which occurred without proper identification and which consisted of a bad recording.  If Mr. Baxter actually had remote control of the station, why wasn't this corrected immediately?

The sad part is that Mr. Baxter isn't a newcomer to Amateur Radio.  Some minor poor operating practices can be expected from a neophyte, however K1MAN's, thoughtless at the least, malicious at the most, actions prove him to be a LID of the greatest proportions.  An abject apology to those whom he caused interference is in order and may go a long way in rehabilitating him in the eyes of other amateur operators.

I reiterate, a LID is as a LID does and some of Mr. Baxter's operating practices are better suited to eleven meters than to the Amateur bands.

Thanks for all the comments and interest in this topic.

We didn't post this article to give him a forum, but rather to show the public, using his own words, just how divergent his views are from the mainstream.

K1MAN remains banned from posting at the QRZ website.
