This guy deserves to have his equipment taken away and shut down permanently.  He's giving Ham Radio operators a bad name and abusing the hobby.

K1MAN is not a good example for any ham.  Something has
changed his attitude over the years.  It seems that he forgot
that his amateur license is like his drivers license is a privilage
    not a right.

With a NAL of $21,000 not paid a lien can be filed against any
property he may have.  Any tax refund due can be applied to
the NAL.  The government has many ways of collection.

maybe the FCC should fine the
    stupied hams that
were talking , keying , making noises, and cussing
    saying
    DAMN
    HELL
    SHI?
    BASTAR?
and all sort of other words

    the fcc should have fine
all of those dummys doing all of that
    and not just K1MAN

2 wrongs do not make it right

this is why I do not like HF BANDS

THE HF BANDS ARE FULL OF A BUNCH OF HIPACRITS

    Chip,

Below is an excerpt from the K1MAN Editorial, "IMO" I believe that he is addressing you. However, maybe  "IMO", he may be addressing me for sending those complaint letters to the FCC, or maybe "IMO", he is addressing to all of us that have complained to the FCC. However "IMO", I guess that I should be thankful that he did address me as a Nazi again.

Also, "IMO" he, like you wants to discuss everything but the facts of the NAL. But that is "IMO".

    >You read what the FCC says about K1MAN.   You read about what other hams say about K1MAN.   Where do you read about what K1MAN says?  ARRL?   No!   QST?   No!   CQ?  No!   World Radio!   No!   K1TP?  No!
QRZ?   No!   What is wrong with this picture, you ignorant hypocrites?

    >No wonder the Arabs hate our guts so much.   No wonder Amateur Radio is going down the tubes, led by ARRL.

BTW, "IMO", before you start rumors about K3VR getting sued by K1MAN, you need to get the facts......"IMO"......

They have to have a court order to do so. They do not have the right to confisicate anything.

It is called an "in rem seizure" and it has happened more than 4 times that I can recall here in southern california that I can remember right off the top of my head..

An "in rem" seizure still requires permission from the US Attorney's office in the jurisdiction of the party in question.

    Chip,

Thanks forthe antenna info, your inflated ego never ceases to amaze me.

K3VR clearly explained his "legal" situation. So could you please explain what he ment to you by:
"I sure hope this request doesn't merit one of your famous "cease and desist or you'll hear from my lawyer" letters."

As this would indicate that you are very litigious, I would not want to offend you....... IMO.....

N1IR: interesting antenna but how do you keep it in its horizontal plane and maintain the shape with only 2 ropes? guess I didn't handle it well but I like to play with wire, not just tubing. I have loaded up a lawn chair with pretty good results.

Last I heard, several of those "advertisers" had requested that they be removed from the website and Doofus had refused to do so.

Thank you, Chip, for sharing your antenna design.

After counting the "asterisks", I'm somewhat confused and need a little explanation.

So, the total length of wire needed is 1 1/2 wavelengths.  OK.

Looking at the picture, you show us what appear to be two 1/3 wavelength horizontal legs on opposite sides of the feedpoint.  And, then two sort-of vertical runs, which you say are 1/4 wave each.  Then finally, two more horizontal legs of 1/3 wave each.

Are the vertical asterisks not perfectly vertical for a reason?  If not, do they need to wiggle just as you have drawn them?

Also, my math is terrible, but by summing up the horizontal sections, I get 4 each 1/3 wavelengths and 2 each 1/4 wavelengths vertically.  That equates to 4/3 plus 1/2 or 1 5/6 wavelengths overall. And, darn, I've come up short. Not enough wire!!!!

Please elaborate, and correct my fast math.

I want to get the facts straight so as not to spoil anyone's field day with an improperly cut antenna.

    Lee
