Congrats! I got my General just short of a year ago and have had a great time on HF. I hope you have as much fun as I've had so far.

    Congrats KC2WSR,

However, don't stop there, go for the extra class ticket time permitting, with more study and practice. Is it worth it? You won't know till you can go below 3.800 on 80/75m and tell me. (some incentive to keep going :D)

    Congratulations, welcome to HF.

Congrats to you. I passed my General last Saturday after 20 years as a tech. Always kept my license active, but didn't have a radio for a lot of years. Only ever worked 2 meters, and got a new 2 meter rig this past Christmas. That got me studying again for the General and went to Port St. Lucie, Florida for the VEC session. Passed the exam with 33 of 35 correct.

So now I'm shopping around for some good used HF gear, antennas and such will be an issue as I live in a restricted neighborhood and may have to fight with the HOA for any kind of antenna and my lot is too small to string much in the way of wire???? We'll see about all of that soon enough.

Again, congrats to you (to us both I suppose!)
