    Merci beaucoup,

Forecast shows a weak Tropo in Europe. Will have a try next sunday with QRP.

73, QRO, viel Erfolg beim DXen!

    Nice Merci beaucoup
I'm sure that one of these days we'll manage to connect and have a QSO.

Hi, my wife Valerie and I had planned to visit the USA... Mais,
Unfortunately, administrative requirements have changed significantly, with the obligation to disclose our digital accounts (Google, Twitter, Apple, etc.)—and even passwords—when going through customs. That is not part of our culture in Europe.
But all is not lost; my dream of attending HAMVENTION remains intact, as does the plan to visit a train museum.

Unfortunately, administrative requirements have changed significantly, specifically the obligation to disclose our digital accounts (Google, Twitter, Apple, etc.)—and even passwords—when going through customs. That is not part of our culture in Europe.
However, all is not lost; my dream of attending HAMVENTION remains intact, as does my desire to visit a train museum and see the site of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. French television covers it quite regularly whenever there is a documentary about bridges and viaducts.

    Salut Pascal,

    73, Cornelius

    Salut Pascal,

received you today at Sunday partly well at the defined frequency. Think I didnt came through. I heard you around between 18:10 to 18:19 in a QSO with a local partner I think. You spoke pure french.

Unfortunatley I didnt recorded it. The whole thing was like in a storybook. This because a Sporadic E crossed your QSO. It began with a S3 and R2 from the start, so something whisperd in the air. Next it pumped up from S4 to S7 for just a few minutes. So your speech raised up to a clear R5. And after 18:18 it got away again between the noise. Your QSO partner was always low on the bands.

Maybe my calls from 18:00 to 18:02 didnt came through or I didnt heard your answer.

Todays QRM was really low, like the propagation tables told.

    73,
    Cornelius - DO1FER

    Hallo Cornelius,
Vielen Dank für Ihr Feedback zum Radio.

We were indeed in a QSO with Sébastien (F8IJV) and Cédric (F4LUM) from 18:00 to 18:40 (Paris time).
For my part, I started transmitting using my vertical antenna (Vector 4000) and then switched to horizontal polarization (4-element Yagi) pointed due East (90°).
Between 17:30 (15:30 Z) and 18:00 (16:00 Z), I was calling CQ while pointed at 330°—towards Seattle, USA—and it seemed like there were stations in QSO. Unfortunately, they were buried in the band noise (S2/3), making it impossible to distinguish their voices.
At the same time on 28.345, there were DL stations; one signal peaked at 59 but dropped off very quickly (signal fading).
I'm sure we'll manage to make a QSO eventually—luck will be on our side ;-)
I'll record it and upload it to my YouTube channel:
PS: I'm often monitoring 28.375 in the evening around 18:30 GMT (16:30 Z), as well as during the day, though sporadically.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen (<= heu ...? it's correct ? I know a tiny (tiny) bit of German / I'am sorry

73's QRO à toi et au OM's du Radio club.

PS : Do you want a paper QSL for your reception report?
