    Judith Ann (Judy) Stonehill

Honeoye Falls - Age 76, of Honeoye Falls passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Cyrus Stonehill and Evelyn (Clifton) Stonehill on September 23, 1941. She was also very close to her step-mother, Erma (Welch) Stonehill.

Judy attended the University of Massachusetts, earning her bachelor's degree at the Dartmouth, campus. She continued her studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia, graduating with a master's degree in library science. After graduation, Judy joined the library at the Xerox Webster Laboratories and then moved to technology support for other Webster Laboratories units until her retirement.

Judy contributed to many fields. She was an enthusiastic radio amateur for many years, aiding in the development of the Monroe County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. She was the music librarian for her church's choir, and a volunteer aide at several animal shelters. She did research on the recognition of whale voices, involving several years positioning hydrophones in the open sea in a rubber boat. She loved woodwork, working in her shop in the short intervals between flight training, horse riding, and travel.

Judy is survived by her brother, David Stonehill, her sister-in-law, Jean Stonehill, and her two nieces, Linda and Heidi Stonehill all of whom reside in New Hampshire.
The family wishes to thank everyone of Comfort Keepers in Pittsford who cared for her so faithfully in so many ways during the last few years.
Judy will have a private interment. A memorial service for her family and many friends is being planned for the near future.
Donations in Judy's memory may be made to: the Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs Street, Rochester, New York, 14607; Lollypop Farm of The Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY, 14450; or the XRX Amateur Radio Club c/o Mr. Rick Ladonna, 67 Grandview Drive, Fairport, NY, 14450.
Arrangements are being provided by the David A. Doser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 76 South Main Street, Fairport, NY, 14450.
