My sincere condolences to Joe's family and friends. I met Joe through the local amateur radio community and always enjoyed visiting with him. Joe presented himself as a kind, funny, knowledgeable and humble gentleman. He didn't call attention to himself, and generally was rather quiet, except when he laughed - which was often. At hamfests, I'd often hear Joe's laughter before I saw him. He left a legacy of good works, friendship and kindness, and he will be missed. Requiescat in pace.
