I am sad to report that my good friend Kern Lilly passed away on November 21st and is now a silent key. I first met Kern when I was stationed down in GTMO running phone patch traffic in 1971. Kern lived in my hometown, and I got him to run a phone patch to my mom and dad. Kern was the net control for the Oregon Emergency net for several years. Kern will be greatly missed by his fellow hams. 73, Jim WO7V
