Yes, you know this man! Joe is the ever present ham event photographer that wears the distinctive (Cat in the ) hat at Hamvention and other ham gatherings. But Joe also is a big advocate of kit building and for 'giving back', Joe was awarded this year's Yasme Excellence Award. The Excellence Award is given to : "recognize(s) individuals and groups who, through their own service, creativity, effort, and dedication, have made a significant contribution to amateur radio." Congrats to Joe ! Hat's off!
Welcome, Joe, to the YASME club! It is very cool to see that you have been recognized for your contributions to ham radio!
Anyone have any idea why this picture no longer posts? (post #3) Joe himself forwarded the picture to me so I could post it here.... 73 Chip W1YW

Nice Job! What a great representative and ambassador for Amateur you have been over the years. First met during the MACC days. (Frequency coordinator for IL 1986-1996. Ex-WD9ENR) Thanks for your service.
