This is my brand new Jeep Wrangler JL 2018 Sahara Unlimited. Which radio should I install? Any suggestion?

This is probably one of the only vehicule that looks good with antennas, don't you think? Perfect for ham radio!

To be honest I think jeep lost it after the TJ, I mean just look at that front bumper, gone too girlie for me, just my thoughts anyway. as for radios, ts 480 for hf and a tm 710g

What is your budget? Which bands do you want to work?

I think the last real Jeep I had was a CJ5. You couldn't kill that thing.

The last real Cherokee (2001) wasn't too bad. Now they all feel like Hyundai's and are WAY to shiny for my taste.

Don't overlook the FTM-400XD - have had one for a couple of years now. No issues at all. Good luck !

There is a reason for that. Hyundai supplied the frames for the JK. I'm not sure if they're doing the JL too. :D

Just picked up a 2017 JK Unlimited Big Bear for my Bride!
Thinking it will get the TMv-71a (head unit mounted just in front of the gear shift with the radio body under the passenger seat).
Antenna placement: leaning towards a lip-mount on the driver side front hood (interested in other options too!).
    no HF mobile for me.
Congrats on the new Jeep, it's a Beauty!
