This is awesome! See, you can get out of your ham shack and still have a good time on ham radio, as an emergency tool and for good conversation. What an adventure it must have been for her. Bravo! I listened to her support team talk with her on her final day at sea. I could not hear Jeanne, but heard the two support members just fine on 20m before the ionosphere gave up the ghost for that section of band. Congrats Jeanne... well done.

Not nearly as adventurous, but this inspires me to get my ole bicycle mobile out again and make some QSOs while riding around town.

I listened to them for a couple of hours about a week ago. She was about 400 miles west of BC, Canada at that time. Her computer was down, so her team was relaying emails and blog info to her. She answered the emails over the radio and her team passed the info along. I am glad I heard her, but sorry I didn't chime in and make contact with her!

Anyway, congratulations, Jeanne and the team!

It was great having her use XE2BNC WinLink gateway when in range for a couple of weeks.
Too bad on the return leg her computer died.

Local radio club followed her every move.

    Good job !!

I worked her when she was north of Midway Island, although I followed her daily from the time she entered the Indian Ocean until she arrived in Canada. On 40 meters at 1400Z +/- she usually had a very good signal into Oahu, as did the Australians and California/Oregon and Washington state stations. Because I work in the Coast Guard Rescue Center in Honolulu, I have access to "Exact AIS" which was plotting her position. Had her EPIRB gone off, we would have been able to get some resources to her quickly. Other folks attempting transoceanic voyages could learn a great deal from her. Great job Jeanne!!

Excellent - have been listening to you on and off with WB2REM. Do some sailing myself in Bermuda and have done the transit to Newport, RI from Bermuda - couldn't imagine doing the circumnavigation.

    Best 73 from Bermuda
