    Great news!

The rumored acquisition has finally been confirmed.

ITU Corporation is acquiring Ameritron and Mirage RF Amplifier Brands from MFJ Enterprises.
As you already know, ITU also acquired Hy-Gain and Cushcraft antenna brands from MFJ earlier this year.

Manufacturing of Hy-Gain, Cushcraft, Ameritron, and Mirage are being relocated from Starkville, Mississippi, to ITU Corporation’s 15-acre facility in Linton, Indiana.

The transfer is expected to be completed later this year.

I'm looking forward to their new offerings and best of luck in a competitive market.

Hi. I don't have one, lol, but thanks!

I truly hope that ITU can produce a superior and reliable product line.
With all these MFJ acquisitions, it will certainly not be an easy task, for sure.

In my honest opinion, best to have 10 great items than 20 lousy ones.
I wouldn't expect the breadth and depth of the original MFJ product line.

    :)

I'm glad this happened and hope ITU makes good with the acquisitions. I have two Ameritron amps and one of my antennas is a Hy-Gain, so hopefully their quality and support will be what we're all keeping our fingers crossed for.

I have the MFJ 5/8 wave Super Penetrator Ground Plane. I've done nearly 250 QSO's on 10 meter using this antenna. I truly hope the new company continues this truly exceptional antenna.

I am pleased to see that Ameritron will survive. I hope they will offer repair and parts for old stock and that the new owners upgrade the quality control. Best Wishes to ITU.

This is great news for these legacy brands and giving hams a broader choice of equipment.

Not looking forward to the new prices as unfortunately they will be much higher. Maybe we can just hope they do not try to cut cost with less quality parts.

    Just a thought...

How a company like ITU can just pick up and run with MFJ's operations will be an amazing feat.
Their revamped product portfolio would need to be very narrow and well received.

Keep in mind that the former MFJ employees did reside in Mississippi, not Indiana.

Ameritron is a solid brand name on the tube side. Not so much on solid state. I look forward (and am very happy) to see how it goes in the future . . . perhaps they can jump in full steam into the SS world. Dave, W7DGJ

    Per the initial article above...

"The manufacturing operations for Hy-Gain, Cushcraft, Ameritron, and Mirage are being consolidated and relocated from Starkville, Mississippi, to ITU Corporation’s 15-acre facility in Linton, Indiana.
The complex transition is well underway, with full product production scheduled to begin by the end of 2026."

IMHO, look at ITU. The company itself.

Full product production by the end of 2026?
Please define the word "full" in the context of the sentence.

Maybe an antenna or two to start?
Those are much easier to produce and market.

New amplifier designs before the end of the year?
    Don't even think about it.

Be very interesting to see if they bring back the AV-18-HT Hy-Tower.
