It's not paranoia when you see it happen (I used to run a commercial Security Operations Center).

Or maybe the preventable data breaches of the last several years were no big deal, eh? :p

    KI4POT: Hi, I'm Chris and I'm a reformed CBer.
    QRZ: Hiiiii Chris

    :D

Actually, I did back when I did more group rides. It was one of the small Realistic units, installed in place of the ashtray, with a Wilson Firestick copy. CB was, maybe still is, the defacto method of trail comms.

Which shelves are the amps on? I want the 20 kilowatt one!

If you get the 20,000 watt one you won't need no ample-fire.

Thanks for sharing that video. I had no idea that subculture even existed...

I'll confess to owing a CB. Have for years, decades even.

It sits in a heavy ziploc bag under the front seat. I take it out and fire it up every couple of years to ensure is is operational. Not everyone hates CB, it actually serves a useful function when on the road and you are traveling with someone/in a group..

Better this than 'loaning' an HT set to .52 for on the road coms.

(Shrug) picked one up at a GROJ sale and got it working for use as a 'loaner' . Not as much fun as restoring a Collins KWM-1, but it still was a bit of a challenge.

These CB threads keep coming up with increasing frequency. It seems some need a boogeyman even more these days than ever, to offset other impending losses in the pipeline.

Pathetic the way some usually suspicious players act.

I don't see why there should be a problem with having one, the other, none, or both. Don KL7KN's approach seems to make sense.

    But, but, CB! :D

Can't be a self respecting ham if you're trolling the trailer park.
