    Thanks everyone. Brando, like most of the world, I'm running a 7300. The antenna is a Zero Five 40-10 meter with raised counterpoise. Very well made and seems to be a good match for the 7300.

    All that fun, and you never used 2-meters haha!! I pretty much dumped VHF/UHF after getting my first HF rig too! You also didn’t say what mode you were using! SSB? CW? I still remember my first time on 10 meters after getting licensed........... Cycle 23, flux over 200 many days at a time. That experience jolted the Contest bug inside me! Great story, have fun!!

    Yea, good match for a 7300 is a pretty dumb thing to say. New ham full of enthusiasm is my excuse!
