Folks this is the head line on the BBC News Web Site:

    'Wedding video' clouds US denials'

A videotape has been broadcast which purports to show before-and-after footage of a wedding which Iraqis say the US attacked, killing about 40.
The film, broadcast by Associated Press Television News, knits together a home movie of a wedding and APTN video of the aftermath of Wednesday's attack.

Some victims and survivors of the air strike appear to be present in the footage of the wedding celebrations.

The US has insisted its target was not a wedding but foreign fighters.

It says that its soldiers were responding to fire and there was no evidence of a wedding.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at the village of Makr al-Deeb, in desert near the Syrian border.

Associated Press has stressed that it cannot confirm the authenticity of the video of the wedding celebrations.

Please note the highlighted line above from the BBC News Web Site. I have not seen this line on any of the US Network News Web Sites. Have You?

If you click on the links below they will take you the video that the BBC is showing on their News Web Site.

Now judge for yourself. Cover up by Iraqis friendly to terrorists in a sad attempt to put the screws to the us military?  Or is the US trying to cover up a mistake?

    Please add your 2 cents.

[IMG] Looks like every one wants to make the USA military look bad, no matter what they do.....guess they should have found better things to do than make video s last month ( hindsight is always 20/20 ).

Kind of strange that some of the US military critics seem to come from countries that lack the skill, guts, coordination or simple backbone to send their own military to assist in the situation.

I agree with HAMER s words above here...any of you computer geeks got a video of his ideas...or... just some recent JUNK ?

We tend to forget the events of 9 / 11 that STARTED this whole mess with Afganistan and now Iraq.

Back in W W II Japan tried to smart off and be theirselves with Pearl Harbor...we showed them a thing or two with 2 very very primitive ( but modern for their day ) atomic bombs........it might be time to show them A@@holes in the middle east the same thing...Sure a lot of OUR soldiers would be injured / maimed / killed, but it might be necessary for world peace in the long run.

N0PU...since you are from the future, tell us some of your " words of wisdom " !

kg4kww...tell us ONE MORE TIME ( has been nearly a full week since we got to read it )..about how eliminating morse code will make amateur radio better for all ( especially YOU ) !!

and AI4EP go out and count cars with CB antennas on them some more, that appears to be all you are good for !!

Every one get to work, time s a wasting !! [IMG]

Why heck, no wonder... it orginates from the BBC (Bagdad Broadcasting Company). Maybe it's parent company is Al Jazeera.

I don't watch this "poor excuse" for a tv network anyway and I kinda feel sorry for our neighbors arcross the big pond because they are expose to all the garbage they (The BBC) spew out.

Bad people get married or go to parties too.

Hm, wonder why we are only seeing troops getting killed and all the wrong things the US is suppose to be doing.

Something good must be going on over there some place.

Sounds like the networks are reliving all the fine news opportunities that Vietnam had to offer -- at our troops expense.

Wish the press would stop giving aid and comfort to the enemy!

That video is clearly a fake. In the last shot of the wedding, you can see it is dark. The bombing happened in mid morning. If they had a camera there, why did they "cut" to the aftermath. There should be, at the very least, the beginning of the bombing. Looks like a Michael Moore film. [IMG]

I agree, if it was shot at a wdding being bombed by the US, why isn't there any footage of the bombing it self?

    Guess that doesn't matter.

Now the international press has it they are going to get as much use out of it as possible -- to stur up Anti American feelings and increase their ratings.

In todays world, it doesn't matter if you broadcast lies as long as it earns ratings.

Well, kinda like harboring a criminal in your house and having the Feds come in shooting. "Innocent" civliians will get killed, but then again, how "innocent" is anyone that harbor's terrorists and criminals?

You get what you get yourself into. Unfortunate as it may be, it happens.
