QRZ a le plaisir d’annoncer une nouvelle fonctionnalité à venir, appelée le Gestionnaire de QSO en temps réel, ou RTQM en abrégé. Qu’est-ce que la RTQM ? Considérez-le comme un réseau de repérage, sauf qu’il n’est pas basé sur des rapports et des observations aléatoires, mais plutôt sur des entrées en temps réel de l’utilisateur. C’est un moyen d’appeler CQ en silence, ainsi qu’un moyen de savoir exactement quand les stations sont en attente. Appeler CQ peut être une expérience frustrante. Étant donné que chacun d’entre nous peut fonctionner sur des milliers de fréquences et de modes, il suffit d’un coup aléatoire pour appeler CQ sur les bandes. En appelant CQ, vous espérez que quelqu’un, n’importe qui, vous entendra. Pour que cela se produise, cependant, quelqu’un doit tomber sur votre appel par hasard, et peut-être pas pendant un moment où vous écoutez.

Tout cela s’estompe dans le passé avec RTQM. Avec cette nouvelle fonctionnalité, VOUS vous mettez sur la carte du monde en indiquant votre mode et votre fréquence, puis vous n’attendez plus qu’un appel ! Vous n’avez pas besoin d’appeler CQ, car vous l’avez effectivement fait via RTQM.

Avec RTQM, les utilisateurs peuvent voir qui est disponible sur toutes les bandes et tous les modes simultanément. Plutôt que de chercher sans fin dans les bandes un signal faible, utilisez RTQM pour syntoniser directement la fréquence et commencer à écouter.

Voici comment cela fonctionne : un utilisateur de QRZ poste un message « Je suis là ! » sur le serveur RTQM qui indique son mode, sa fréquence et son emplacement. Ces messages apparaissent sous forme d’épingles sur une carte du monde qui sont visibles par tous les autres utilisateurs. L’épingle « Je suis là ! » sur la carte ne dure que 30 minutes, vous savez donc que les informations sont fraîches. Les utilisateurs peuvent actualiser leur épingle s’ils écoutent toujours sur la même fréquence. D’autres opérateurs entendant ou travaillant avec l’utilisateur ont également la possibilité de l’indiquer et de rafraîchir la goupille

Nous avons de nombreux projets passionnants pour cette fonctionnalité et nous lancerons prochainement une première phase de test bêta. Ceux qui souhaitent essayer de nouvelles fonctionnalités et donner leur avis sur leur utilisation doivent commenter sur le fil de discussion, puis nous vous contacterons pour plus d’informations. Veuillez noter que pendant la phase de test bêta, vous pouvez rencontrer quelques problèmes avec le logiciel. L’objectif de la phase bêta est d’identifier et de résoudre ces problèmes avant le déploiement général du service.

I'd be very much interested to become beta tester. Mostly I see this as chance to test my wire antennas' capabilities with QRP power under different modes and conditions (calling CQ with QRP in SSB nearly never leads to an QSO without offering for example a POTA park, while answering to a call has a >50% probability to have a QSO)

QRZ is pleased to announce a new upcoming feature, called the Real-Time QSO Manager, or RTQM for short. What is RTQM? Think of it as a spotting network, except that it's not based on random reports and observations but rather real-time user input. It's a way to call CQ silently, as well as a way to know exactly when stations are standing by. Calling CQ can be a frustrating experience. Since any of us can operate on thousands of frequencies and modes, it's just a random shot to call CQ out on the bands. By calling CQ, you're hoping that someone, anyone, will hear you. For that to happen, however, someone must stumble upon your call by happenstance, and possibly not during a time when you're listening.

That all fades into the past with RTQM. With this new feature, YOU put yourself on the world map indicating your mode and frequency, and then just wait for someone to call! You don't have to call CQ at all, because you've effectively done that through RTQM.

With RTQM, users can see who's available on all bands and all modes simultaneously. Rather than searching the bands endlessly for a weak signal, use RTQM to tune directly to the frequency and start listening.

Here's how it works: A QRZ user posts a "I'm here!" message on the RTQM server that indicates his mode, frequency, and location. These messages appear as pins on a world map that are visible to all other users. The "I'm here!" pin on the map lasts only 30 minutes, so you know the information is fresh. Users can refresh their pin if they're still listening on the same frequency. Other operators hearing or working the user also have the ability to indicate such and refresh the pin as well

We have many exciting plans for this feature and will initiate an initial Beta Testing phase shortly. Those who are interested in trying out new features and providing feedback on their use should comment on the thread and then we'll be in touch with more information. Please be aware that during the beta test phase, you may encounter a few issues with the software. The purpose of the beta phase is to identify and fix these issues before the general rollout of the service.
