Hi guys, I'm new to the ham community. I took my exams last Saturday and on Monday, received my Extra Class ticket. Just wanted to introduce myself to the QRZ community. It's exciting to see just how much there is to explore in this hobby, and all the people I've met so far have been so helpful and friendly. I'm in the process of finding gear and deciding where to start and how to keep it frugal, haha, what a joke right? Anway, my name is John, I'm from Mississippi and look forward to meeting and sharing with you all. Sincerely, AG5WT

Greetings, self! Yes, there's a lot to explore here....been exploring since 1972, and still haven't found all the nooks and crannies. Or crooks and nannies. 73! Eric
Ha, I'm not sure if this is a joke or if you are serious. CW isn't required on the extra class exams anymore. Either way, I intend to learn but it wasn't required for the examination.
Welcome, John. Congratulations on passing your exams. Lots of knowledgeable people on QRZ and they love to share it. But, sometimes you have to filter out the noise.
