What to and not to do when requesting your callsign to be changed
When you wish to have your username/callsign changed you can do so by making a post to the QRZ.COM Callsign Database Helpers forum or you may submit a Support Ticket. This does not apply to US Hams as this process is automated. It takes 2 to 3 days after your call appears in the FCC ULS.

When requesting your callsign to be changed please do NOT add a new log in account into the database with your new callsign, we will change this for you. When you open a new log in account and then ask for us to change your username we normally delete any current username/callsign that exists in the database. This can sometimes be confusing and we assume that the log in account that is there is an old or expired account. With Vanity callsigns being issued daily there may still be a username/callsign already present in the database from the previous holder of your new callsign.

When we do change your username please keep in mind that your email address and password will remain the same. If you are unable to log into the website with your old username/callsign simply use the username/callsign that is new and use the password that you set up with that account initially.

If you are in a country that allows you to hold more than one callsign please advise us weather or not you wish to have your old callsign deleted or if you would like to have it remain in the database. Normally we will not delete your old callsign unless you are from a country that does not allow you to hold more than one callsign.

If you do have more than one callsign QRZ policy only allows you to have one log in account regardless of how many callsigns you may hold. Please advise us of which callsign that you would like to be used for your log in account.

Request to add your callsign to the database.
If you wish to be added to the database please make a posting in the QRZ.COM Callsign Database Helpers forum:

Where to find the options in the new XenForo
This thread is intended to assist members on how to use the different options that you can control in "Personal Details"
The first thing you must always do in order to access “Personal Details” is you MUST log into the website with your Username and Password.

Hold your mouse on your callsign in the dark blue line and select "Personal Details"

How to edit your page
To edit your info;
Login with your callsign and password.
1) Go to your callsign on the top blue line, and click "Edit (your callsign)" in the menu.
2) Click the appropriate option to edit.
3) Click "Save Changes" etc, if required. (Follow the instructions)

How to add a Flagcounter to your Biography
Go to http://flagcounter.com and create your flag-counter.
When you are finished, copy the html code.
Go to your page and select at the top "Edit callsign"
Go to "Add or edit your biography"
Click on "Code or Source" at the top left corner (code or source is depending on the language setting of your browser).
Paste the html code in the new screen and click on "Update"
It should be working now.

Blue and black callsigns in logbook
Callsigns that appear in blue belong to people who have a logbook on QRZ and callsigns that appear in black do not.

Red: this people have an account on QRZ and the blue do not.

Alternative high contrast theme for the forum. Users can access it through a small link in the very bottom left of the forums. Normally it says "Default Style" but it could say something else if they have changed it already.

As an alternative way of switching the themes you can use/give users these links

How to add a picture to a thread

• The chosen picture should be available on the hard drive of your computer.
• Adjust your browser settings to "allow pop ups" from this site.
• Create a thread as normal by typing in the text box. This forum requires at least 10 characters to make a post.
• When replying to an existing thread you will need to click the Reply then click the Go Advanced button.

DO NOT click the Submit Reply button.
Instead, scroll further down the page and you will see a Section named

Attachments

• Below that you will see a button Manage Attachments, select that button.
• A "pop up window" will appear named File Upload Manager
• You should see, 1. Click Add Files to upload new files or select from existing files below
• To the right you should see a button + Add Files, click that button
• Another window will appear with a button Select Files to select the image from a location on your computer. Once you find the image you want, double click it. This will "tell the website" where your image is at for upload.
• The name of your image should now appear in the box with the file size next to it.
• Click the button Upload Files. A progress bar should indicate when the upload is complete.
• Give it time, depending on your connection speed and image size, it may take time to upload.
• Once the file has been uploaded, the name of the image should now appear under the previous button Manage Attachments
• If it did not, check the Attachment Key at the lower portion of that window to see if your image is within the size parameters allowed for uploads.
• For an example, this forum allows a maximum file size of 976.6 KB for a .jpeg
• Once the image name shows it is in the Manage Attachments list
• look at the bottom right of the original "pop up window" and select Done
• Hit the Submit Reply button and you are done.

Pictures upside down after uploading
After uploading your picture, click on it ones. Below the picture you can find 2 buttons, one to rotate it to the left and one to rotate it to the right.
