Went to the Indianapolis Hamfest yesterday!!! Beautiful day for the outside flea market, sunny to partly cloudy and about 70 degrees, well that was up to about 11 A.M. when I left. Lots of ppl there as usual, but the crowd seemed less than last year. Lots of fun looking at lots of good gear and lots of junk also and asking prices seemed high. Then I walked in to the inside flea market and still the same thing. Out of the blue i walked up to the RCA Amateur Radio Club table just looking, not really planning on buying anything. Scored a ft-401B, FV-401, the matching speaker, microphone all working, and then the guy through in another FT-401B as a parts radio, all for $50. Maybe I paid to much for stuff, but i've been looking for tube radio to play with for a couple years. Now I got one and I'm happy. Anybody else on here go to the Indy hamfest??? 73 Bob
I was there all day. Talked to lots of folks, attended a couple of forums, but didn't walk around that much.
