    Jose Jacob, VU2JOS, of the National Institute of Amateur Radio in Hyderabad, India, has sent a brief report saying that members of the Institute have established HF and VHF stations in the earthquake-affected areas of Gujarat in order to provide emergency relief communications for the Indian government.

    <TD>Their main frequency is 14160kHz. The callsigns of the amateurs carrying out the work include VU2LIC, VU2MYH, VU2LFA and VU3RBN, but other amateurs both local and distant are also active.
