Japanese radios historically used 12 Volt Incandescent Bulbs (Lamps) for front panel lighting.
The HRS-7219A-Y2 was commonly used in a number of Kenwood, Icom, & Yaesu Radios.

... as noted a decade ago, for the Icom IC-228x radio.

IRONICALLY, Mouser does NOT stock the 14 Volt lamp, CML 8111 (14 Volt, 65 mA)
which would Last Longer within 13.8 VDC powered radios.

The 12 volt lamp is rated for 10,000 hours. Using the V^-16 formula a 12 volt lamp operated at 14 volts has its life reduced to 8.5%. The 10,000 hour lamp becomes an 850 hour lamp. A 33 ohm, 1/4 watts series resistor will drop the lamp voltage by 12 volts and increase lamp life to 10,000 hours.
