Is it that hard to understand?
fell lucky you managed to fire a radio for some days, there's so much media pressure from the environmentalism dark ages side that DXpeditions to TAAF will never be given the green light, ever!

    Good one
but you both seem to forget that back in time A1A tfc between R-Os was regular while ships were probably much more distant one from the other.

1,800 miles, on 20m, 100W, across the Ocean, well.......

Funnier is that your aerials are both Erzatz makeshift ones -as if sailing to islands so afar from populated continents did not command erecting more spectacular antennas, particularly for 20m.

    Coincidental radio-amateurism comes to mind.
(others call that DXpeditions, ATNO, whatever...)

Yes I got him last night on 20 cw he has an amazing signal considering that he is at my antipod, whereas Bouvet 3y0J is more like a Simon and Garfunkel song, "The Sounds of Silence".

Maybe FT8WW can go to Bouvet and help with the antennas?
