While amateur radio is generally a cooperative service, there are malicious actors who sometimes transmit in violation of the rules and spirit of amateur radio. Some will even attempt to interfere with emergency communications and support for disaster response. How can communicators in an established net or other team defend against the inject of false messages or station impersonation?

This evening, I'll premier a video on the use of KTC 1400 D ("DRYAD") tables for field-expedient authentication. We have started to use the technique on the BLACK SWAN Net (https://www.blackswancomex.org/net). We're finding that operators are able to learn and use the technique effectively even without any particular experience with communications security tools or techniques.

The video premiers this evening at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
