    Hi Everybody;

    Please turn on your 6m RIG on Feb. 14 at 12:00 UTC!

    There was explosion on the sun and the CME is Earth directed!

    This could be the strongest CME to hit earth in the last year. The plasma density is going to hit at 12:00 UTC time. (see image below from Spaceweather.com)

    This will cause sporadic E for 6m and it will mostly be directed to Africa, Europe and eastern South and North America.

    Make sure you turn on your 6m rig tomorrow when the storm starts.

    All the best and 73;

    All is quiet on the western front.
    It is 14 February at 2020UTC now.
    Not much of a blip is seen on the GOES X-ray Flux.
    The K index is ZERO. See graphs.

    Hi Bonnie and Everyone;

    Solar particles do not show up as flux and if the particle flow is steady you can not see the change in propagation in these indicators.

    I recommend you use the WSA-EnLIL too from NOAA: here's the link
    http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/wsa-enlil-solar-wind-prediction

    Also the cloud came in earlier that expected and it was not as dense and as fast as predicted. So lots of worldwide propagation for anything below 15m.

    The new meaning of CME = COMPLETELY MISSED EARTH.

    Ya..pretty much a prop fizzle.
    Had a better Es opening a month ago with clashing hot/cold position dependaent air masses, which BTW is what I prefer to look for in 6M openings.

    Oh, I was wondering when the CME was gonna hit us. I thought maybe we're still waiting for it?

    Well, FT8 seemed weaker on Wednesday and Thursday nights than on Tuesday. Couldn't get a signal out beyond Japan on Thursday afternoon (QTH Seoul).

    Don't worry... chances are that there is another CME coming to a location near you.
