Was contacted by this guy, from the address "email@example.com." The email was fishy, so I searched and found this thread. I had a little fun with him (told him I lived near him, asked if I could come look at the radio he was selling. He was on vacation in Hawaii apparently forever.) Bottom line, there is someone running a scam using this guy's name and callsign. Not sure what QRZ or anyone else can do.
Issue with WB4IUY finally resolved. What a headache. Disregard previous posts. Took way longer then required but resolved. Amen.
You can report the criminal to google since you have the email source.
Did you report the emails for abuse to google and microsoft?
His actions toward me weren't criminal, I just suspected his intentions were. The person who was actually swindled by him should certainly report him however.
So you received an unsolicited email from an address used to scam at least two other people but you're not going to report that email to google?
