    International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend

Friday afternoon/evening, August 19th, members of LeFrog and the Ozaukee Radio Club will be
setting up a 30' Tower and an A-4S Tri-Band Beam on the property adjacent to the Kevich Light in
Grafton, Wisconsin. This is private property and we have permission from the owner's,
    Dave and Mary Bennett.

This is in preparation for the 19th Annual International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend event.
Amateur radio clubs and amateurs around the globe will be doing the same type of thing as we
    attempt to contact other lighthouses.
We will be using the W9CQO call sign. Lighthouse US0193
See http://illw.net/ for more information about the weekend event.

We will be operating basically on 20m.
We'll also have D-Star running along with a dedicated computer for logging.
We plan to use the LeFrog's Icom IC-9100 transceiver, but will also have an
    Icom IC-7100, Icom ID-1, and Icom IC-2820H.

This is a non-pressure, non-contest event, so be prepared to just have fun!

Here is a link to a video that Bob WI9BOB made from the event a few years ago.
However, due to the possibility of rain we opted to not put up the big white tent.
It will be easier to use two 10' x 10' tents for faster take down if there are thunderstorms.
We do plan to operate rain or shine, just not during severe weather.
