    Gentelmen,

Any support for some stickies in this forum? I was thinking along the lines of"tools"-cad software, "parts"-lists of parts suppliers, "library"-on line books, data sheets, links to tecnical notes.

I suggested a couple of these in the "Suppliers" and "Parts Exchange" threads. Perhaps they'll be stickified...

I would only do one or two stickies. Too many and they become a distraction. Plenty of room for individual postings within the sticky threads.

    Sub-stickies? Might work.

Parts suppliers would be one good place to start.

how about a jpg of the resistor color codes, identifying capacitors, how to read SMT resistor values, etc.

Google gives > 10 pages of resistor color code charts. SMT resistors are in "powers of ten" format. The first two numbers are the significant digits and the last number is the number of zero following the first two digits, ie... 100 ohms = 101, or 22k ohms = 223. I think the majority of those interested in this forum can read the codes on electronic parts.

    73,

    Frank:)
