Wish ICOM would make a Radio with 220mhz in it, I understand it isnt all that popular but having that option to add-on to a radio would be amazing. CW--Decode.........
Sounds like they listened to their customer base when it comes to requested features on the 7300. Just enough goodies added that I could see many making the upgrade.
And you didn't enumerate one of the most important new ports, ethernet. The sentence about simplified RS-BA1 should have included that port.
5200 hopefully includes the blue tooth module a data jack for terminal mode use as standard features. Maybe it does. Edit: I now see the BT is a standard included feature, but the data jack is not - they went wi-fi.
I can't figure out what the difference is suppose to be for the IC-7610 32 over the current one. Anyone know?
The MK2 is showing many great improvements, but for what I use the 7300 for, it's not enough to swap it out and lay down the the difference. My guess is your 7300 will soon be worth $800 used. If Sherwood Engineering's results surprise us I will reconsider my comments, but the 7760 barely beat the 7610, a transceiver nearly a decade older. Worse, we all know Icom can build extremely good HF receivers, i.e., the 7851 and the IC-R8600. Why not smash the 7610 together with the R8600 and give the 101D a run for its money? THAT is what the 7760 should have been. Regarding the 5200, all great and good, but if it suffers from the same front end saturation from local RF as the 5100, it's not useful in environments...such as emergency operations centers, where there is significant local RF.
