    Too expensive!

    Now, if it was $2098...

I received an email from Gigaparts today telling me I would get $5.00 off any purchase over $100.00. Then of course it had a big picture of the IC 9700 for $2099. I then let my wife see the add and reminded her Valentines Day was fast approaching and with my big discount it was only $2094. Needless to say she was not impressed. Maybe I should forward the email to her in an effort to persuade to reconsider buying it for me. :(

Wait until next Black Friday, or the week after Christmas.

Ouch. Nice rig but I'll pick up a used one in a couple of years.

I'm curious as to the market demand for a 2m/70cm/23cm transceiver? Maybe 100 units over the product lifetime?

Believe it or not, Icom is targeting 5000 per year worldwide.
