What new details have been revealed?

 

They are if they have $1,500 of discretionary funds burning a hole in their pockets. Icom is license class non-discriminatory.

 

My information is that it is still about 2 months away from UK deliveries, no FCC tests as yet.

Looks like a user manual will be available 09/20/2020 at this link. Maybe the IC-705 will start shipping shortly thereafter?

Another delay, Icom Au .............Icom Australia has announced the availability of the Icom IC-705 All Mode Transceiver which was scheduled for Friday, August 14th 2020 has been delayed.

Icom UK update yesterday, IC 705 released possibly next week.

At last, it is out in the UK, got mine today will do some tests when time permits and compare with other QRP radios, tested on 7MHz and rx is as good as my IC 7300.

My unit is with UPS and should arrive today.

 

TIP: I like the speaker on the unit but as soon as you plug in the speaker/mic the internal speaker is disabled, don't plug in the 3.5mm jack from the Mic, you then have tx and tx audio but the receive audio comes out of the main speaker! nice!
