    all these people making stuff with their 3d printers but no one has come up with a power pole solution for the icom ic-705 , something like all the people are making and selling for the yaesu ft-817 / 818 radios

    Hm.., not a bad idea. I also have a 705.
    Currently i'm resp. my 3D Printer is working for my portable piperotor prototype project,
    but i think about how that is to be constructed. The power pole mounting is not complicated
    but fixing the hollowplug isn't easy.

    On thingverse is a version for FT817
    With minor modifications it should work for the 705.

    @KD9CKB Do you own a 3d printer ?
