    Hello:

Recently I bought a used ICOM IC-7000 on E-BAY. Almost everything in the radio works as it should, but, the radio is not putting out any power in two meters (144 to 148). Yet, if you tune it between 148 to 155 is putting between 25 to 35 watts out. I did a reset on the radio several times, but I keep getting the same problem. I think the past owner did a modification to transmit out of band, (maybe for MARS/CAP?), but being the stock setting, the two meter section should be working fine. Just in case I checked out SWR and is between 1.3 and 1.4, PL-239 connectors and cable are new. Any ideas anyone?. Oh, and I also checked the power supply and it is at 13.8 volts/35 amps. I even cleaned the fuses. Am I missing something?

Check into a good dummy load.

The MARS/CAP mod affects all bands, HF/VHF/UHF

I've done the checkup with the dummy load...the same.
