I've been using a new ICOM 7300 for a couple weeks now. Last night, when switching bands (e.g. 80m to 40m), the band I switch to is "dead"... I can't receive or transmit. It only does it when I switch to certain bands. I have to cycle power before the band works. Has anyone heard of this issue?

Just started having similar problem with 3 year old 7300. I mostly have it on 20 meters. When I turn on it’s like a dead band, switch to say 17 meters I get rx , switch back and now it works. Tx shows power out and current draw with no power going out to antenna. Antenna is 3 el. Steppir , swr confirmed with analyzer. Did partial and full reset with same results. Tried software update also. Good luck with yours , I’ll continue searching
