Icom 7100 audio problem

    The reboot happens when I'm transmitting, receive is fine.

    Thank you, it is certainly plausible that the fuse holders could oxidize over time. I just wonder why some feel it's the speaker output (i.e. using headphones as a fix to the problem) when, at least in my case, the problem is when I'm transmitting.

    I really would like to hear from other IC 7100 owners who experience the reboot on TX problem. I'd love to get my 7100 back on the air but I'd hate to have it reboot again.

    Does the 7100 have a thermal sensor that could shut it down if something gets too hot?

    I don't have time to wade through the myriad schematics.

    You'd "think" that the audio amplifier should be running Class A, in which case it would be hot whether the volume is turned up or not, but I really don't know and I don't have a 7100.
