Mercury III does not have a built-in ATU, CIV, or a LAN port for remote operation - it's missing a lot of features promised for the IC-PW2

I bit the bullet and bought the KPA1500. WOW!!!!!! This being my first ever amplifier with absolutely ZERO experience in using any kind of amplifier, I am way more than happy. Pretty much idiot proof as proven by me setting it up and making 83 contacts over the recent WWDX contest, NONE of which were in the continental US. I bought and installed a 135"OFC Windom wire antenna to have something to handle some power.I never got over 1000 watts with it and produced no "faults". I am at ease now with the cost as I surely see and have experienced the value of this purchase. Being new to this hobby I certainly have lots to learn and I am confident this piece in my shack will make that just a bit easier on me.

$7K? I suspect price will be around $5K. Cannot wait, buy a used ICOM PW1.
