    I really looking forward to seeing what the 7610 is all about. I could not afford one, and I like my 7300, but it will be very cool to see how the sdr line develops at icom.

    I run as HL1ZIX, for those who don't know...

    We have some around Asia. Interesting comment from a friend in Australia, who was quite perplexed about the 7610:

    "I have yet to hear one that sounds good."

    I don't know what he meant by that, but I do know he comments on how much he loves the clear/clean signal of my 7300, from Korea into VK land. All I know is that he seemed surprised and slightly bewildered.

    Mac, JA3USA across the pond, has had model 00001 for some time. His sounds ok to me (although it wasn't as full and rich as I remember him being with his previous Icom). I lack the equipment to comment on how his signal looks, electronically.

    Derek, did you seriously do aerial work as per the photo on your QRZ page? Seems beyond risky.
