IC-7300 and Mac M1 Processor

Hi,
I'm considering purchasing an IC-7300. I'd like to run it with WSJT-X on my new M1 processor based Mac Mini.

Has anyone used a 7300 with an M1 Apple CPU?

Issues could be:

• USB driver doesn't work with M1?
• ICOM software for 730 doesn't work with M1 [less important for me, since I'm already using WSJT-X on the M1, along with JT-Bridge and MacLoggerDX, but with an ancient Kenwood TS-50.

According to the site where the developers hang out (groups.io/g/main), there doesn't seem to any particular issue.

 

Thanks! Do you have the full URL to that group? The one in parens above didn't work for me - it says the group does not exist.

 

I am now running WSJT-X with my new IC-7300 on a Mac M1-based Mini.
I used the instructions at https://3fs.net.au/ic-7300/icom-ic-7300-digital-setup-for-wsjt-x/ .
I think I got the driver from the SiLiabs - https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers .
