In addition to turning off DSP and Notch filter, you should select AGC-FAST.
All these things alter the received signal and make processing difficult.
I made some additional adjustments on my computer sound levels which have helped in making additional contacts. I changed the microphone and playback levels to as near 0.0db as possible.
The baud rate was gonna be my guess ... the think 706 default is 9600.
Actually, I set the CI-V Baud rate at Auto. The baud rate is @ 1200 in setting #29. The default is 9600. Thanks for the reply.
On the radio settings, I have the deleted all of the following: DSP-ANF, COM, AGC, VOX. The default on baud is 9600 and I have it @ 1200.
Update: I have been adjusting the power levels on the radio. It was on 20 watts and the output was really low. I adjusted the power level to 40-50 watts and now the output is 20 watts. I also adjusted the CODEC level to 100%. On the radio I have the DSP-ANF on and the F-AGC on. On the sounds site I have the playback and recording levels at 0.0 dB.
