From the mid-1960’s. Best part was they were free! Courtesy of Florida Power and Light (now NextEra)
I acquired this card from Finland during the summer. It was sent by one of the previous holders of the W9AFB callsign to OH3NP for a QSO in 1938! A neat picture of the OH3NP shack on my page.
Remember these cards from World Radio Labs? (1964)
George Jones W8SIO was killed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 (USS Downes DD-375)
Here is one of my older ones.
I stood on that very spot with my elderly parents and had a photo taken. So amazing up there. Nice Card. I'm certain a good memory for you and your family.
Here is mine I just made it
State my computer must have messed it up
Made mine myself.
Hunting has always been my main passion in life, and even before we got married my wife nicknamed me "The Killer B", since "B" is the first letter of my name. Years later, a graphic artist friend of mine drew the killer bee picture I now use as my avatar, as well as on other items. After I got my ticket, I couldn't resist applying for a vanity call-sign with "TKB" in it...easy for me to remember. My QSL card design is just an extension of that.
