Since, as you get older you chances of developing significant health problems goes up--however, it's not absolute. The chances of living to that age are extremely slim, but not zero. So, I would imagine with anything there are always going to be outliers. The oldest person ever verified was Jeanne Calment. She was 122 years old, when she died. However, until recently, record keeping has not been terribly reliable. So, it makes sense that someone could be older than her. On the skeptical side, the receipt could have been for a slave of the same name as him. Or could have been an ancestor.
