I was wondering if someone could help me with a project. 1st of all this prog is legal so read on an I will explain. All of Benton county and the cities in Bention county dispatch from 1 place on the Proj-25 phase II 800MHz trunked system. I don't have a digital scanner. But there is a free prog that can be had from https://www.proscan.org/ What it does is takes the audio from the digital scanner and feeds the audio into a free standing (no need of a connection to a laptop or tower) internet interface that broadcasts the signal. The prog that I have lists a bunch interfaces by showing the IP address and location. I can click on that IP address and listen to that scanner.

Benton County used to have a digital scanner and interface at someones house on the south edge of Kennewick. I don't know which house it was in. But the interface was in 1 of the 5 houses that were burned to the ground by a wild fire. I was on the prog listening to the fire progress when the interface went offline and it hasn't been back on since. That was almost 3 weeks ago.

I am looking to get a digital scanner (one that won't break the bank) I don't know what scanner to get, it don't matter if it is new or used, or if it needs a bit of fixing as long as I can get a schematic diagram for it. (I live on SSDI) and the interface. But I have never done a prog like this before. I did put together an Elecraft K3 SDR transceiver and I used it on the air. I have the fastest internet speed available from Spectrum cable tv. I have an AA degree in electronics and I used to fix 2 way radios, tv's and vcr's. But my electronics knowledge is a bit out dated since I retired. So I could use some help please.

IMO the best stuff is available here: http://www.aorusa.com/

It's American-made and very high quality. The only scanner I use is one of theirs.
