When I point my modest yagi toward a station I want to hear, they usually become VERY loud. When I point it away from a station, they disappear.

When I get on the air I want everyone in the neighborhood to think the world has come to an end.

I couple of weeks ago I got on the air and the neighbors called the Fire Department.

    Yah...
the Yucca tree grew up into the doublet and with full legal power applied the antenna was trying to set the Yucca tree on fire.
(fat chance of that ever happening)
I did go up and trim it the next day.

I think that's called HAARP. Just ask Eric.

99 percent of every ham I have ever met run their transmitters at 100 percent.

Sometimes I choose to exceed the speed limit. 2013 V6 Mustang. Lotsa fun and has made me respect it's power. Hey, 2nd childhood! Never got busted for speeding, but I did get popped for passing on a double yellow.

My station puts out 100W max. Tough to exceed the limits with that ;)
Given the opportunity to do so, I wouldn't. I respect the regulations and my fellow hams too much to abuse the license I was granted.

I stopped doing crazy stuff on the streets when I realized:
    • lives were at stake
    • I could win money at the strip

Yeah, I don't pass on the double yellow anymore, unless it's a tractor doing 25.

I don't EVER pass on the double yellow, and anywhere else it's not permitted.
